Who can apply for Meerkat Group Funeral Cover?
You must be a permanent resident of South Africa with a valid SA ID.
You and your spouse/partner must be between 18 and 94.
Your biological, step or legally adopted children or grandchildren must be single and younger than 21 or younger than 26 if they are full-time students
Nominated children who live with you and are financially dependent on you must be younger than 18

What happens if a payment is missed
You have 10 days from the premium collection date to make payment. Your cover will be placed in a lapse pending state for 20 days should the premium not be received after 10 days.
Your cover is then placed in a lapsed status for 60 days should premiums not be received for 30 days. Once your cover has lapsed you cannot claim on the policy.
